A visual essay of the week leading up to the much anticipated first event at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

The sunset is reflected in the world's largest retractable end zone doors of the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. The quarter-mile long monumental arch trusses extend to the abutments on the west side of the stadium.

Judges’ comments for the category

The essays that stood out against the others were more effective at giving a sense of storytelling. American Idol provided a nice variety of story, humor and moments. The stadium essay was the only essay with a sense of narrative progression and many images were well shot. Grandpa Joe was the only essay with a personal connection, but all the images were very similar.
