Judges’ comments for the category

This category was very weak. First had a variety of different images, but lacked a nice closer. Second had good moments and would have taken first with a much tighter edit. Third missed the mark without any real moments.

Austin Bachand, Nikki Fox and Daniel Lin

With only 8 entries in this category, the winners were found fairly quickly. First place was a shoo-in, as it had the best moments of all of the entries. We would have liked to have seen more though. Second place was The Funeral of Big Chief Larry Bannock. We felt it was well photographed and told the story very well. The Jazz Fest story had some nice moments in it but we felt it would have been much better with fewer images. It also started a little slowly.
